After at least 8 years of subscription to the fund, an advance payment can be requested in the following cases:
• purchase or renovation of main family home for oneself or one's children
• health care expenses and extraordinary operations recognized by the competent public facilities.
• expenses incurred during the use of continuous study leave.
Advance payment can be the entire accumulated amount (worker contribution, employer contribution, accrued revaluations) or a part of it.
If the employment contract is terminated before achieving the requisites for issue of the pension payments, the Fund subscriber can ask to redeem the total amount accrued in the Fund or to maintain their account in the Fund.
After three years of subscription, subscribers can decide whether to transfer the accrued amount to another pension without being subjected to taxation.
If they lose the requisites for subscribing to the fund, they can transfer their account regardless of the number of years they have subscribed to it.
If the full professor should die before retirement, or if the RITA (temporary advanced supplementary annuity) is issued, the individual amount accumulated in Fondo Bocconi is redeemed by the spouse, or children, if already living and fiscally dependent on the subscriber, or by the parents. If no such subjects exist, the subscriber's instructions apply. If no instructions are provided, the individual account will be acquired by the fund.
If the subscribers cease work, if they have matured at least 20 years of contributions to the relevant mandatory pension scheme, and have been registered in supplementary pension schemes for at least 5 years, ithey may ask for the accumulated capital to be paid out, fully or in part, as a temporary advanced supplementary annuity (RITA), with a maximum advance of 5 years compared to the date when the subscriber will reach retirement age.
Without prejudice to ceasing of work and five years of subscribing to supplementary pension schemes, it is possible to request RITA even if not employed for a period of time exceeding twenty-four months and if retirement age will be reached for old-age pension in the mandatory pension system within the next ten years.
RITA consists of the payment in (quarterly) instalments of capital, amounting to the total amount requested, for the period from when the request is accepted to reaching the old-age pension age.
If all the accumulated amount is not used for RITA, the residual amount can be used to request advance payments and redemption based on sector regulations, and to use as capital and annuities at the time of retirement.
The subscriber can revoke provision of the RITA based on the modes as established by the Fund. If transferred to another pension scheme, the RITA is automatically revoked and the entire individual account is transferred.
An advance payment can be requested in the following cases:
• Up to 75% of the accrued amount, for health care expenses for treatment and extraordinary procedures (with no minimum limit of subscription to a supplementary pension scheme);
• after eight years of subscription, for an amount not exceeding 75% of the accrued amount, to purchase the main family home for oneself or for one's offspring;
• after eight years of subscription, for an amount not exceeding 30% for further needs of the subscribers.
In the event of termination of employment before reaching the requisites for issuing pension annuities, the fund subscriber can:
• Redeem 50 percent of the accrued individual amount, if the worker is not employed for a period of at least 12 months and no longer than 48 months or in the event of the employer resorting to mobility, temporary unemployment, ordinary or extraordinary revenue procedures;
• Redeem the entire individual amount accrued in the event of permanent invalidity that causes a reduced capacity to work by one-third, or following termination of work that leads to non-employment for a period of more than 48 months.
• Redeem the entire individual amount accrued with fiscal payments that is less favorable than the points stated above;
• Maintain the individual amount set aside in the fund.
After two years of subscription, the subscriber can decide whether to transfer the accrued amount to another pension without being subjected to taxation. If they lose the requisites for subscribing to the fund, they can transfer their account regardless of the number of years they have subscribed to it.
